What does storage cost in the UAE?

Published market ranges for storage in Dubai, by the size of the job. These are figures other companies publish, so you can see what a job your size normally costs before anyone phones you. We do not price storage, so none of this is a quote.

Storage with collection, by property size

The company brings a container to your door, takes it away and brings it back. This is the model this site is about. Figures are per month and exclude VAT.

Property Typical volume Published range, per month Works out at
Just a few items 4 m³ AED 150 - 700 AED 38 - 175 per m³
Studio 8 m³ AED 800 - 1,000 AED 100 - 125 per m³
1 bedroom 15 m³ AED 1,000 - 1,500 AED 67 - 100 per m³
2 bedrooms 25 m³ AED 1,500 - 2,000 AED 60 - 80 per m³
3 bedrooms 35 m³ AED 2,000 - 3,500 AED 57 - 100 per m³

Two things worth noticing. The rate per cubic metre falls as the job gets bigger, from around AED 125 at a studio to around AED 57 at three bedrooms, so a big job is better value per unit of space than a small one. And the smallest band is the widest, because a few boxes runs into a minimum charge that has little to do with how much space you actually use.

Self-storage, for contrast

If you rent a unit and move your own things in and out, the published market rate runs AED 9 to 19 per square foot per month. Converted at a full 2.4 metre stacking height, that is roughly AED 40 to 85 per cubic metre per month.

That looks cheaper, but the comparison is not straight. The conversion assumes you stack to the ceiling across the whole floor, which nobody manages, and it leaves out the two truck hires needed to get your things there and back, plus your own time on both days. The fair comparison is self-storage plus two truck hires.

Where these figures come from

We are not going to put a number on this page without saying where we got it, because a storage price with no source behind it is just a number somebody typed.

  • Storage with collection: guide figures published by a UAE home-services marketplace, read on 15 October 2026 and mapped onto our own volume estimates for each property size. They are a marketplace's published guide, not any one operator's rate card.
  • Self-storage: a published Dubai cost-per-square-foot guide, read on 13 October 2026. It aggregates third-party figures rather than publishing one operator's rates.

Both are market guides rather than quotes anyone has given you. Real quotes vary with access, term, the exact volume and how busy the company is that month. Use this page to sanity-check the number you are given.

Before launch: verify both bands against several UAE operators directly and record the dates, or narrow the page to the one band that has been checked. Figures older than three months are stale and the estimator stops rendering them automatically after 180 days. [to confirm]

Why we do not quote you ourselves

Because we are not the company that would store your things. We work out how much space you need and put the job in front of a storage provider, who prices it and contacts you. Our service costs you nothing.

What we can do is tell you the range before you speak to anyone. If you already know a two-bedroom job usually runs AED 1,500 to 2,000 a month, you can judge the quote you are given instead of taking it on trust.

Work out your volume first

The ranges above are per cubic metre of belongings, so the volume is the number you need. The calculator works it out room by room.
