For space, yes, as long as you use the item list rather than the quick
estimate. Volumes are packed volumes with an allowance for the 15% or so of any container you
cannot actually use, which is awkward shapes and the gap you leave to reach things. Property
presets are averages and they run generous above two bedrooms. List anything unusual, like a
piano or a gym rack, because those move the answer more than people expect.
No. The estimate appears on screen as you build it and nothing is sent
anywhere. You enter contact details only when you want it priced.
Depends which one. There are five sizes, from a Mini at 0.63 m³ to an XL at
9.3. The middle one, a Full, is 5.7 m³ and takes about a room: a king bed and mattress, a
three-seater sofa, a chest of drawers and five medium boxes. Swap the king for a single and you
free up most of another box run.
We do not price storage, so we cannot tell you. What the calculator
gives you is the volume and the units it takes, which is the figure every quote gets
built on. Send it over and our partners price the job against your address, your access
and your dates. Anyone who gives you a number before they know those three is quoting a
starting-from figure.
Set by whoever is holding your things, and it varies a lot. Some warehouses
take visitors with notice, some will only bring a unit out to you, some do neither. If you
expect to be pulling things out every few weeks, say so in the enquiry: it changes which
partner suits you, and it is much easier to ask before you sign than after.
Your estimate gets a reference number, and the whole thing, room-by-room
list included, goes to our storage partners. Nobody starts from a blank page, which is the
point. They price it and get back to you within 24 hours, and you deal with them from
there. This site costs you nothing either way.
